Off machine switching
I intend putting a dust extractor under my workshop and have been reading these forums about controlling this. My suggestion is to have an electrician remove the magnetic switch from the machine, locate it in the workshop connected by a longer piece of flex. Is this a goer? It seems to be simple, 240v to the switch, then to the machine. I've not seen this suggested elsewhere, is there a fault with my logic?

Even simpler, Anodyne, is to put a second switch on the shed end of the flex and leave the DC switch permanently on.
Cheers
