Default muffler location in dusty enclosure

    Hi Folks,

Enclosure WIP, and I am at the point where I want to decide on the location for the muffler.

The enclosure is 2100 high,2100 wide, and 1000 deep. It will be airtight except for the muffler.

The muffler will be 2000 long and 300 wide, lined with 90 mm insulation.

I want to mount it in the bottom left hand corner.

    So two questions...

Can it go where I want it to, or does it have to be mounted up near the top of the dusty bags ?

Will it be big enough to deal with the noise and pressure created by the dusty ?

    Cheers,

    curious

If the enclosure is air tight, where does the motor draw cooling air from, and how do you exhaust the waste heat?

    Thanks guys,
Ian I am assuming the muffler provides for the "waste heat", but I understand that the motor gets the air that bleeds through the filter bags.

Ideally you want the muffler so there's flow between the bags across the motor and out the muffler.
If there;s no flow the motor may overheat.
