Opinions on Carabatec Cyclones?
Hi,
I've been thinking of upgrading my dust collector to a cyclone model as I vent my air inside the workshop and I'd appreciate any opinions on their cyclone models. They now have two 3HP models on their website:

and this one:

The first one they have had for a while, the second is new and seems to have much better performance (CFM and filtration) but I don't put too much faith in the figures as they are probably measured under different conditions. The Felder (RL160) is a much better unit but also twice the price.
Anyway, if anyone has of these and would be willing to share their experiences with it, I'd like to hear your opinions.
Thanks.Hobbit

I haven't been fortunate enough to see these working, but high on my list of 'must haves' is infra red remote control, otherwise there are times I won't use it as I have to clamber around the back of the TS. Equal at the top of the list is fine dust capture, otherwise it is just keeping the fine dust airborne for the lungs to soak up. Last is mobility so I can move it out the way when needed.
Both the units shown seem pretty good and pick up the 1 micron dust. Plastic bags can also be a plus as emptying cloth bags into a bin a cross wind negates the capturing of the dust in the first place.
