Default A question regarding aCyclone seperator

Hi everyone, recently I have relocated the DC system to another shed and installed a Hare and Forbes seperator. The seperator is not powered and is connected to a 3hp DC. The question I have is that the seperator top and the seperator cannister has a small hose connected. I would like to use a plastic bag in the bin part as it is cumbersome to manouvourve the bin in the shed as it is small. Will using a bag affect the performance of the seperator?
    Thanks

It looks like the separator already comes with plastic bags but usually something is needed to hold them in place inside the bin otherwise they will get sucked up into the cyclone

    What sort of 3HP DC?
Adding any separator to a DC will usually slow the sir flow down considerably and given that most 3HP DCs don't have much to begin with they cannot afford to lose any flow if you want to collect fine dust machine by larger machinery..
The bin on that separator also looks very much on the small side ?

    I have the DC7, 3hp hare and forbes, 12"impeller.
I use 150mm pipe throughout the system and to me it operates quite well. The bin is 110 litres I think.

That small hose connected from the top of the cyclone to the bottom of the collection bin is designed to stop a bag in the collection bin being sucked in to the bottom of the cyclone.
