And under Exposure Circumstances #11 is Furniture and Cabinet Making, but Boot Making and Repairing is #8.

The US National Institute on Health's TwelfthReport on Carcinogens contains 240 cancer ubstance profiles, some of which(e.g., Estrogens, Steroidal) consist of a class of structurally relatedchemicals or agents. These include 54 profiles for substances listed asknown to be human carcinogens and 186 profiles for substances listedas reasonably anticipated to be human carcinogens.
Wood dust is in the first category.
In terms of wood dust exposure, wood turning has one of the highest average wood exposures but it has so few professional turners it won't show up as an occupation.
These figures are for the US where construction Carpenters make a lot of all wooden houses using large sheets of rough chip board.
At the mens shed we have picked up a number of lathes belonging to former wood turners that have had to give up turning because of dust issues.
All the numbers in red exceed the 1 mg/m3 Australian standard maximum exposure for hardwood dust.
That standard is considered by international experts as too high and we should be targetting a factor 2 or 5 less than this

So after spending some time in the shed today (#11) and made some dust (#38) I sat down to relax with a nice cold beer (#22) and some pepperoni (#39) and cheese.
I guess I am doomed
Cheers
DougI got sick of sitting around doing nothing - so I took up meditation.

Doug
That leaves you with an average of 27.5 which is equivalent of being in room heated by coal oven or you were messing with coal tars...
Might've as well waterproofed some roofing with tar..
Think your selection of activities was a bit more pleasant than tarring a roof...
