Remote Controls for Dust Extractor
Hi
I currently have a remote control switch on my dust extractor. I only have one remote control and I am forever trying to find it. Does anyone know if there is a switch with multiple remotes so I can have one at my table saw, one at the bandsaw, one at the router table etc. I would like 5 in total.

I use these in my workshop - you can program any channel on any remote to trigger any mains adapter - so I have three remotes in the workshop, controlling 4 different mains adapters.
However, you can't buy extra remotes - you can only buy a remote + mains adapter, or remote + 3 mains adapters.
FYI, those remotes are supposedly good for 10A, but the high starting current of a dust collector is likely to burn them out, so I have one of those mains adapters triggering a contactor that switches my dust collector.

I think a much better solution is to have your one remote hanging on a string just above head height in a convenient location. It can't possibly get lost and you only have one battery to replace instead of five. Unless your workshop is enormous the remote should never be more than about 5m from where you are.
