    Default Ryobi shop vac + dust deputy cyclone + Hikoki tablesaw

    Hi there. I want to set up my ryobi vac to a dust deputy cyclone.
    The vacuum pipe from the ryobi vac attaches to the port at the top of the dust deputy.
    Then I attach another vac pipe to the port on the side of the dust deputy. This pipe then attaches to the tablesaw port (63.5mm).

    I am then left with all the ryobi vac attachments which seem to be now useless.

    How does everyone else do this.

    I could perhaps buy a second vac hose and attach it to the side port of the dust deputy and then be able to utilise the vac attachments.

    I am interested in others thoughts and experiences with this type of set up.

    Go to your local vac. specialist or tip shop, pick up what you can, and then use your imagination. Or you could go out and spend a lot at a retailer on similar bits that also don't fit together.

    Most people seem to make a cart with the vac and little cyclone on it and then connect to whatever tool they want to use. When they want to suck up dust they disconnect from the tool and attach the wand and nozzle/floor tool to the end of the hose and clean up. All the hoses etc are friction slip fits and not permanently attached. Search around a little and you will find a ton of them in a variety of configurations.

    I originally got one of those, they're quite good but the plastic that you squeeze together to remove the motor from the steel bin broke off on one side after about a year. It was still usable though as I used a small clamp to hold it down to the bin. I now have the Ryobi 1400w 60L version which is excellent and wont suffer the same problem as its held down by steel clips.

    It is only 1250 watts - not much suck.

    If you have not already bought it, while you are at the tip shop you might be able to find a 2200+ watt unit for less than half that price.
