    Default Old School dust extraction

I have posted a FREE (50+ year) old school DC in the market place.

OK so you're not in WA but you might be interested in seeing how DCs were made before the clones arrived.

Bob, what a weapon! The motor alone would be worth a fair few dollars as scrap, but it's a piece of history, why would you want to wreck it. As far as the missing filter goes some extruded fly wire framing with some suitable filter material attached (easily purchased from an air conditioning specialist) would do a fine, if not exactly original job. Equipment like this can't be killed, it goes forever with so little care it's totally unbelievable in this day and age. Good work on offering it as a going concern.

    Cheers,
    David

It's not missing a filter - its just a metal panel with a bit of foam rubber around the edges for a seal..
The air comes in through the 100mm round hole and goes down through a duct in the top chamber into the bottom filter bag chamber.
The air is then pulled into the top chamber by the fan and out of the outlet.

It would make a great shed ventilation fan.
Powered by a VFD it would pull more than 1000 CFM at 60Hz.
