The saw is great but you obviously want to know about dust collection.
If I had room I would set the saw up with a permanent semi-enclosed dust shroud like others have done.
However, my saw is stored on a pump up trolley under a bench, so setting up a shroud every time was not going to happen so this is how its used.
I usually do not use the BMH setup I describe in this thread - its just too slow.
For a few cuts:
*************
Roll saw out from under bench and pump up trolley to working height
Attach Ryobi Shop vac and ensure 3D printed ramp is in place (it definitely makes a difference)
Turn on OH variable shed ventilator - its almost directly above where I use the saw.
Result: There's a bit of chip scatter which is easily and quickly cleaned up afterwards with the shop vac as it's usually still running.
The PM2.5 does increase slightly - but nothing to worry about and the ventilator clears that in less than two minutes
For lots of cuts
*************
Wheel it outside - not dust control measure used at all.
The brown/red brick back patio is usually already littered with leaves, dog toys, hair, well chewed beef bones and the occasional doo, chainsaw chips etc every few weeks I sweep it al up.
Biggest problem is not stepping in a doo.
When its raining and I have to do more than a few cuts
********************************************
Set up as per a few cuts described above but add the Bell Mouth hoods (attached to the DC) on the sides if it's going to be an extended session.
PM2.5 doesn't increase at all.
Compared to other machines like the big belt sander or lathe, using the SCMS is one of the least of my dust worries.

thanks for the run down.
once I have the area setup I might have to hit you up for one of the ramps. I was also considering a few exhaust fans in the roof (vented out side) to get the air flow going and will try and get one above the saw.
