    Default Shopvac Caddy Finished

Finally got around to putting together a shopvac caddy to contain the instability of the cyclone bucket.

I elected to go vertical to save on floor space but dropped the inlet down low to help it from toppling over. I 3D printed some clips and collars to hold the pipes in place and reduce the flexing in the cyclone lid and printed adapters to go from anything to anything.

I also put small overhead reticulation system with three points so the shopvac can be in any one place connected by a flexy to the system, a flexy to the tool at another and a plug in the third.

I am considering something similar for my cramped shed.
Would you mind advising what brand.size.model your vacuum is?

Sorry for a late reply, I just found the notification in the Junk mail.

The brand is Shop-Vac model K14 similar to this. I don’t know if they are still available. I got mine several years ago when Masters was closing down. Beware of the power rating, on mine the 1400W is at 60Hz, at 50Hz it rated at 1100W although this seems adequate for my use. The internal box dimensions just for the vac 33x35x54cm high.

There are a few wet/dry vacs similar, just select the one that it suitable, measure the footprint and go from there. If you haven’t built a cyclone before double bucket the cyclone bucket to prevent it collapsing if the inlet is obstructed.

My box width/depth is 35x35cm, box height 75cm and total height with wheels and cyclone is 140cm.
