Default Source of flexible flex - 6"

I have some of the Carbatec flex hose, but I would describe it more as bendable than flexible.

This has never been too much of an issue, but as I run rigid pipe with only the tail section being flex, it is simply not flexible enough for short runs which require movement.

I'm limited to local suppliers as the freight cost rules out postage. Short of contacting local industries which may use it and attempt to buy from them, I am running shirt of options. Any ideas?

Being in Tas means that your local options are unfortunately going to be limited Lance. What you have suggested re. talking to local industries that use it and seeing if you can get an offcut might be your best option. What sort of lengths are you looking for?

A couple of one meter lengths, and one two meter length.

The real killer for me is my thicknesser/jointer. As the hose needs to move (and twist) to go from one configuration to the other, I would end up needing a really long length of the stiff flex I currently have to make the transition.

I did go to one of the aquaculture plants as they use a lot of hose. Unfortunately they also use very stiff flex, which I guess is to be expected when you're pumping water and fish between locations.

You could try an irrigation equipment supplier.

The local one here has lots of big stuff

I just ordered three 10ft lengths from Amazon. It looks like the price has increased slightly. I paid AU$76 per length including shipping with Amazon Prime.

Wow, that's a great price too compared to other options I've explored.

    EDIT: Just ordered some.

Yep, it works out to about $25 a metre. I wanted the 20ft length but they're charging $135 for delivery. I'm not sure why the 10ft length includes delivery but I'm certainly not complaining.

Do you get free delivery with Amazon Prime? Your link says $42 delivery?
