Bob, I haven't had time or the inclination to read and absorb it yet as I fell down the stairs at 2.30 am this morning and have been regretting it ever since, busted ankle, sore shoulder etc.

Holy moly, sorry to hear about that. How did it happen?
The last time I fell down at 2;30am in the morning was almost exactly 12 months ago when I fell through a glass door. The reason I fell was torn calf muscle brought on by vicious night cramp cause by seriously screwed sugar level from undiagnosed diabetes. It later turned out I also had blood clots in my legs.
Anyway - I hope you recover soon.
