That's not a dust extractor....
....THIS is a dust extractor. Will probably also extract pets, small children and literally anything else that isn't bolted down.

15a seems a bit conservative, better go for 20a just to be safe

But you'd still have to get the 100mm ducting for the shop.

I've regrettably decided it is no good for my purpose if it is to replace the workshop vac: I can't see anywhere to attach the wheels.
You blokes go for it.

with power costing 25 cents/kWh, that extractor would cost about $200 / hr to run.
a 20A plug ?? That beast generates about 1000 hp !!
but would be interesting to see how the ducts are split to feed four separate bag filtersregards from Alberta, Canada

I have to check my bank account after the lotto win, but I don't think I'll have enough left over to enclose it outside the shed, so I'll have to pass to.

The biggest single fan I've dealt with for a 400 sqm clean lab had about 1/10 the flow rate of that monster.
Nevertheless at 24,000 CFM it was no slouch - it used a pair of 15HP motors to push air through 3 m x 3m wall of 99.997% efficiency at 0.3 microns HEPA filters and then through almost a sqm cross section duct into the lab.
Inside the lab we had 56,000 CFM of air recirculating through 70 1.2 x 0.6 sqm HEPAs 99.997% efficiency at 0.3 microns. Starting from scratch it took about a week to clean the labs and get the dust in the air down to 100x cleaner than an operating theatre.
The main reason we had such high flow rates was for recovery from a "contamination incidents" - this could be anything from a small fire, to a tradie working on something.
We did have a small fire (overheated/charred electrical insulation) while I was there and it took about 24 hours to recover. When tradies did work in the we could restart operations in about 3 hours after they left.
More nerdy details here Just how big is 6" duct? --> HUGE!!!!

Like others I've thought about what it would cost to run.
I would have to include the cost of the property next door to have enough room.
Now, about the noise..................................................................................
