Got an email through from Timbecon with the following:

Then you won’t want to miss Timbecon’s next LIVE streamed event.
    Saturday August 28

Get online at 10.00am EST via the Timbecon You Tube Channel. And watch Geoff and Jake explain and demonstrate the Dusty Art of Dust Collection. You won’t want to miss this super useful Dusty event

I think that I am going to go the DIY Clearvue option but might still be worth a listen for anyone who is interested.

Out of interest has anyone had dealings with Clearvue Australia before? Sent them an email to enquire on current pricing but have not heard anything back yet (about a week ago). Sounds like a $4k ish exercise to get a system going, might try a make the cyclone cone myself but the impellor, motor, VFD and filters are still a reasonable expense. Still I guess you get what you pay for.

I've ordered my Clearvue, still yet to hear when i'll get it, USA to AUS is ridiculous now which has greatly affected pricing and lead times unfortunately. Sadly the clearvue parts are bulky even though the cyclone and a lot of components are pretty light in weight, they take up a lot of cubic space. You don't need the filters if you can vent to outside, saves you $1000 give or take.

hurcorh why didn't you buy from ClearVue Australia? I think it would have been about the same price, maybe cheaper to your door.

Maybe I have misread your post and you bought from ClearVue Australia. In that case never mind.

Is there anywhere (in Oz) That sells these straight through filters?
All the ones from the usual places are single ended, usually with a baffle crank out one end.

I did a search for "industrial dust collection cartridge filters" and got these on the first page. I did add Australia to the search or I would have gotten North American companies but your there so don't have to. You should be able to find more if needed.

Dust Collector Cartridge Filters | FilterMakers

    Filters

Dust Collectors, Replacement Filters, Filter Media and Equipment - Filquip

Supplier of dust collector filter, bags, cartridges and cyclones

Dust Collection Filters - Freudenberg Filtration Technologies

Cartridge Collector Filters | Donaldson Industrial Dust Fume & Mist

Industrial filters are made to filter from the outside towards the inside so they work best that way. If you want to stick with the inside out home dust collector approach then the first company can make them with that in mind, just tell them when you talk to them. The others might custom make them as well, it wasn't obvious from glancing at their pages. Going custom will give you the option of fitting the most filtration in the space you have.
