Sharp razor blades generally do wonders on rubber.

I'd be trying a heat gun to cook the rubber to a more plyable state if thats the problem

it's the 2hp extractor and the 500mm cartridge.

The barrel outside rim is 500mm.
The cartridge inside rim is 480mm.
So hoping to start with 10mm

Couldn't get it on myself.
Seller employees confirmed they had to use
Pry bar and 2x4 and clamps.
Returned it.

Tried to purchase another privately.

Took three employees to confirm it doesn't fit.
Which is probably why it was brand new.

It would be 3 meters of sanding.
I'll give it a try if the router idea doesn't work.

Thanks for the suggestion.
3 meters is a bit of work with razor blade by hand.
Maybe I can figure something our to pull the blade around the edge.

Maybe slicing cuts with a snap knife or cut throat razor ?
Theres a knife blade for a jig saw to cut foam from memory.
Or a powered bread knife they’re good for foam, a bit of preheating might help as already suggested.

so your obviously trying to get the filter rubber seal to fit onto the drum (which doesn't fit as confirmed by shop)

how thick is the rubber?


again i'd be trying to heat it up (couple of people with hot heat guns) to near melting the whole way round and then have the pry bars ready to go and just quickly try and jam it on and then pray you never have to take it off

If you have access to a good sized lathe, get some 32mm ply from the big green shed, glue two sections together and turn up an adaptor. That's how I replaced my bottom bags with blue drums.
