You're lucky you're not on warfarin like me, you'd of needed a lot more sawdust.

Bit of an update on the progress of the Cadillac, but next to Brett's Locomotive this is a walk in the park, or a milk run as known by other's, Including myself .Today I cut out the chassis of the vehicle, cut & shaped the fender's & the bumper bar's. Also cut & shaped the front seat & the dickey seat. In the second photo it's coming together as to what it should look like. I still think I made a mistake in the timber selection. I also have to follow the plan's & put the steering wheel on the correct side of the vehicle according to one of my peer's in the USA.

I agree with Crowie looks damn good. Thanks for sharing the work in progress photos with us. I know it takes some extra steps but is worth it in my opinion. In the future you can go back and look at the photos of your build and enjoy it once more plus everyone enjoys seeing how it comes together.

Just a quick update, mainly shaping the rear guard's, front fender's & the bonnet. Mainly hand sanding & very time consuming. First photo,for any of you that have not seen a toys & joys pattern, this part's kit is suggested to be purchased with the pattern. It includes wheel's, headlamp's, taillamp's, steering wheel & body moulding's. It is about $19 US, & for people like me who do not have the tool's & the nous to make my own wheel's I believe it is good value. Next I seem to have the front panel around the wrong way as the steering wheel is on the wrong side again. The roof, seat's & grill surround are being ebonised. I will paint the wheel's tomorrow & then assembly, if all go's well.

looking good jim cant be much more to do ,making the wheels is the time consuming part, those wheels you are using are £2.00 gbp overhere very expensive when you need a few of them they are cheaper in america but time i pay shipping and customs duty it works out pretty much the same its a shame because they are nice looking wheels

Thank's for all your reply's regarding the wheel's & other bit's.I will log this for future pattern's. After the cadillac is finished I was thinking maybe for the next project, & their must be another project, either the horse drawn wagon or maybe the excavator from toys & joys.
Both worry me because of the wheel's on the wagon & the track's on the excavator.
Both pattern's would test my woodworking skill's. If you don't have a go, you'l never know.
