Looks awesome J&J. I like the grain of the wood you used for the fenders it gives character. What did you use on the tires to achieve the look. They look real.

Very nice work, but I see that you have a problem following the plans correctly. You put the steering wheel on the wrong side.

    G'Day "j&j",
Thanks for looking is a very modest statement.
    The pleasure is ours.

Thank you all for the compliment's on my Chev's, The tyre's are painted with a product called 'Chromacryl Students Acrylics'. basically just craft paint. It is available in the UK as well as the USA. Web site is
www.chromaonline.com. Then I applied two coat's of polyurethane satin to finish. The fender's are camphor laurel, the only light coloured timber I had at the time. It turned out ok, so my next model will be a1931 Cadillac Roadster, I will try that in mainly the same timber & see what happens. Thank's Again . Jim [j&j]

Thanks for the tyre paint info, Jim. I've been quietly waiting to hear too.
I was thinking of using black timber dye or even trying tyre black from an auto shop for my first models, but might have to give acrylic a go now. Looks great. (I'll do some trials of the three.)

Fantastic models, by the way. Well done.

    Hello Jim

Thanks so much for the tire info. I would have thought acrylic and poly would not mix but obviously they do. I am excited to hear about the Cadillac. Any chance you will be doing a work in progress of it? Look forward to your great work
