Thank You guys for the support.
Derek you are correct. Problem is I am trying to use up a bunch of small offcuts.
Peter thank you. Nick had a great birthday. Many screaming boys having fun for about 4 hours = His Mom and I had headaches! HA
HTL that is a great idea. I will have to mess around with my scanner and find out the correct percentage to scan them and print them out.
Sorry for the delay toy and scale makers. I had a small minor health issue of some discomfort coupled with the triple digit heat kept me out of the shop and not motivated.
I made headway today.

Next up was cutting a rebate at the front end of the frame. Cut it on the tablesaw.

Cleaned it up with a file.

Springs glued onto frame. I measured them 3 times hope they are in the right spot.

I picked out two Walnut boards to make the wheels out of, but I plan on painting them black so I instead pulled to 100 yr pine boards that I just acquired from my stash.
They needed to be milled to 11/16" thick.

My new super sled I made for the tablesaw made short work of cutting 2 3/4" square wheel blanks. I absolutely love the flip up stop.

The truck requires 10 wheels but I will be making 14 for some spares.

Center marked out and used the compass to mark the rough shape so I could chop the corners off on the bandsaw for less work on the lathe.

Boring out the center with a 1 1/4" forstner for the wheel hub.

Rough shape. Still needs some details.

The grain of the Pine kinda takes away the tread detail but it should show up better once they are painted.

Quick mockup for the front. Still need to turn 6 more wheels. I was just too hot in the shop to continue.
