Hi Gary and welcome to the toy forum.I think you will be upgraded to the Scale Forum shortly Top work Mate.I have been folowing your work for sometime now . I am making an 1/8 scale concord Coach as well.Mine is from plans.it is giving me (or was) some hassles with a plan to follow.I cant even imagine how I could build one of these without plans..Really I cant. It is recognised as one of the hardest models to build because of all the compounf curves an loads of small metal parts to make The hardest thing I found ,was making the door hinges to fit a curved door.
All the best on this forum Gary.Love to see lots more photos

    G'Day again Gary,
Great to see you've found your way to the Toymaking section of the forum after all the trouble you had with registration.
As you've already seen, their's a top bunch of blokes on the forum and your craftsmanship will be greatly appreciated.
This "Chuck Wagon" has a huge amount of deal, let alone the amount of work to do the beaut horses.
Looking forward to seeing some more postings with your other wagon & coach.
    Cheers, crowie

I have photos of a sheep wagon in progress from the board i cut up to the end where do i post that?

    Gary Smith,
    G'Day Again Gary,
Thank you for joining the forum.
I'm just amazed at the quality of your workmanship plus that you have a whole stable of wagons, coaches & horses.
    Beautiful detail.
Keep the photos coming; especial some "work in process" photos with build notes.
    Cheers, crowie

    Gary,

I love your work. others have just mentioned the horses but I am really interested in how you did them.

I have seen some videos of a guy in the States that does Western Themes including horses that are fantastic but with a lot of caricature in them.

Maybe, when you have time you might show us how you do them. Even though I know they are carved, somehow I do not think our carving section is the right place for them . I think they will be appreciated more here becuse we understand what they are for better.

If they do not go into the Scale Modelling section then the Toy Area will be fine. We have lots of things for little boys but little girls seem to get left behind a bit in Toy Making. I have a new grand daughter on the way and because I have a rural background like to surround our family with things like this. Plus it gives me a bit of time to get it right.

I am not the quickest horse on the track.

    Thanks

    Pete
