Hello Tom,
Welcome to the forum. A little bit more information about your build would help us out such as is this going to be a toy or is it a to scale model. What medium are you going to use wood or plastic. As far as I know there are no scale hot rod plans. We do have a member goes by Scotty60 who has built some awesome toy version and large scale hot rods.

As far as to scale I myself have been researching to build a 32' Ford hot rod over the past couple of months. I have alot of photos of cars, suspensions, engines, and drivetrains. If interested I can email them to you. I did find a to scale drawing of the frame here. Wescott Auto
There is also the two websites that have blueprints for all kinds of cars.

Hope this helps. Look forward to your build.

Hi Tom,
Welcome to the forum you are in good hands plenty helpful advise on the forum. I found a plan for my hotrod in a magazine then blew it up and added all the extras, big tyres, blown motor, windscreen, steering etc. Next model i thought of more improvements and just ket adding. Next i brought a plan of a t bucket made out of drink cans from a guy in NZ but i made it out of metal and added more extras. From there the models have been out of my head from looking at photos and taking a bit from this car and a bit from that. I know a lot of people cant do that but it comes from experience and giving it a go, as they say practice makes perfect. Having a panelbeating spraypainter background helps a great deal also but dont be scared give it a try.
Proud to be an AUSTRALIAN

Hot rod Plans
Hi Guys, Than ks very much for the warm wellcome I really apprecaite It.
Sorry for the delay in replying we've had trouble with our pc getting on the web.
Sorry also for not being more specific in what I wanted to model, i know nothing about Hot Rods and from the little I've just learned the prototype I'm interested in is a '32 Ford Roadster Sedan or HighBoy coupe.I'm still gathering info and will draw up a set of plans myself which i will willingly share.
What I need advice on is how to turn the wheels.
Sincerely
Tom

Tom,
What kind of tools do you have in your shop. A drill press will make all kinds of wheels, using hole saws for the o.d. and forstner bits for the i.d. If you are lucky like some of us and have a lathe then your possiblitlies are endless.
Have a look here at the best of best. Down at the bottom there are several different threads on how to make wheels.

Hot Rod Plans
Hi Bret,
My daughter and I share her second hand Delta 46-255 Variable speed Lathe, unfortunately we don't have a fully equipped workshop, no drill press, or bench sander, in fact so far no work bench. The shed that the lathe lives in is very small is shared with a tumble dryer, but we manage to squeeze in.
Sincerely
Tom

Welcome Tom.
HotRods 101:
Hi-boy is generally the term used for a HotRod without mudguards/fenders.
Roadster is a 2 seater with a removable top.
Coupe is a 2 seater Hardtop, and '32 Ford's come in either 3 window
or 5 window
Sedans generally have 4 seats, and can come in 2 door (also refered to as Tudor)
or 4 doors (also refered to as Fordor, mainly by Henry Ford)
Then there's Sedan Delivery, with a rear door as well...
