j&j's Toy's & Joy's Bulldozer
My wife suggested we do a before & after of my Bulldozer. This is the same model as posted by Bob on the 20 th April, hopefully it will turn out as good as his.For the record there is about 138 piece's in the track's & 50 length's of dowel to hold it all together. About 90 piece's to make the rest of the model. I will post completed photo's when it is completed.
Regard's to all, Jim

Looks good jim, can't wait to see the finished product. What timbers are you using?

Bulldozer
Thank's Scott, The track's are australian red cedar, the blade is camphor laurel & the seat & grill is black walnut. Both being ebonised at the moment. The rest of the body is a timber I bought at a garage sale year's ago & I have know idea what it is.It is a softwood & easy to work but species unknown.
Thank's for the compliment's.
How is your project from t/j coming along?

I chose a T&J plan which involves a decent amount of turning and started last week. I've enjoyed it immensely so far and quite proud of my beginnings. A few months ago I got hold of some redgum stumps from a house which was re-stumped. 50yo redgum is beautiful stuff!! Like you, I'll post some images just before assembly

j&j's Bulldozer
The Bulldozer is finally completed. The timber's I used are red cedar, camphor laurel, southern maple &
ebonised black walnut. The timber for the body is something I found in my shed. It is a T/J pattern& is finished in Estapol satin.

Just beautiful Jim.
You've certainly done a top job on the dozer.
The timber colours & grain have come up a treat, especially the blade, love it.
Thanks for the photos of all sides.
How many hours of TLC, plus blood sweat & tears when into please?
Cheers, crowie

Dozer
Peter, about 4 week's approx, There were problem's with the roof, aligning it with the floor, the track's were also a drama, cutting more than you needed because of stuff up's. Apart from those hiccup's it was straight foreward.
Bob, I have asked T/J for some advice about their wheel's on the MRAP Cougar, it is their latest model, but I'm concerned about my ability to make the wheel's. I'm not real good with wheel's but i'm prepared to have a go.
We shall see what happens
Jim
