Thread: Locomotive & Tender

The Locomotive is finally finished. The build was approximately 60 hours. Timber's are mainly Australian red cedar, red carabeen for everything above the boiler, silver ash for the moulding's & tulipwood for the inserts in the boiler. Many thanks to Handyjack for a "stack" of technical info & also to Pete & Keith for photo's during the build. Also thanks to everybody who commented & the many "like's" along the way. I hope you all like it, I believe it turned out quite presentable & I had a lot of fun building it. Cheer's & Regard's Jim.

Looks really great. I like the way you have made a type of MCB coupling for the tender. Keep it away from me as I would want to move it on the track. Wish I had the time and tools to make such an item.

If ever you feel like it you can build some carriages to form a train.

Now that's a FIRST CLASS loco that deserves a BLUE RIBBON for a job very well done...Just love it Jim...

Well what can I say that has not already been said. A great build and thank you for a great WIP as well I love to follow how people get around things when they build models such as this
