Model Railroader Cyclopedia Vol. 1
Just got a new book in the mail today.
Model Railroader Cyclopedia Volume 1 Steam Locomotives.

This book is awesome for any kind of a train nut. I just spent the last hour flipping from front to back. I had no idea there were so many different steam trains. It has 100's of photos and 127 HO scaled plans. My favorite so far is the New York Central Hudson 4-6-4. This particular one is streamlined. Maybe someday I will build it.
Here is a photo of one built by Bob Stichter. He spent 5 years building it.

Here is his website. I think I might have posted this before can't remember.

They also have a book on Diesel Locomotives that I want to get.

No Way! I will always be a hot rodder first! But I do love trains. But very particular ones. My favorite has to be EMD's F7 Diesel Electric.

Hi Bret and that book has been around for about thirty plus years and I’ve had a copy for about that long.
I have never come across another book anywhere near as good.
The beauty of having that book now days is that you can follow up with more info about any of the engines in the book by googling them.
It’s fantastic when you find an engine in the book you fancy and then are lucky enough to find videos of the original engine, when it was in service, on youtube.
The Big Boy is a perfect example.
