A Model Recovery Truck On Wall
As I have travelled about the place I have always kept an eye open for like mind people with the same interest as myself, I have been calling into different Men’s Sheds in different places but have not seen much in the way of models.
Then out of the blue I found this one on the Pub wall at Barkly Homestead it’s a larger model than the toys and joys models.
When I asked the owner about its origans the story was he bought it from a bloke that came from the East Coast he was just passing through and gave him a couple of cartons of beer all this took place a couple of years ago.
To my way of thinking the story sounded a bit sus I could not imagine any one spending the hours building such a model and then selling it for a couple of cartons of beer or I could be all together wrong and thirst got the better of gentleman passing through what do you folks think.
It has been a very interesting trip and I have heard lots of stories about all sorts of things this is just one of many What I must stress here is I am not for one minute saying there has been any wrong doing by the management of the Barkly Homestead and found the owners to be to be genuine honest people. And it’s a great place to stop overnight in the van.

Great looking model Col,
Pitty you weren't allowed to get it down for a better look.
I think I agree with you on the story, too much time & effort for that little.
One silly question please, were is the Barkly Homestead?
Keep safe on the drive home.
See you at the WWWT show later in the month.
Cheers, crowie
