    Default The MRAP Cougar

Pete, this is where I am up to with the wheel's & tyre's. The sander took the colour out as I thought it would so I have used craft paint on them.
The next two pic's, still upside down, show the suspension, diff's & tailshaft's, mounted to the chassis. Wheel hub's & tailshaft connector's are yet to be added. Final is the interior
as it will be when ftted.

This is the best I could fit in today.
These 4 panel's are the top, 2 side's & rear of the MRAP.
Window's are still to be cut out & door frame's to be finalised.

Today I cut out all the piece's for the mudguard's or the fender's as some of our mate's across the Pacific call them.
First pic show's the 10 piece's that will make up the rear guard assembly, & the next show's the same for the front guard's.
There is stll some angle cutting & shaping to be done before assembly.

This vehicle is fitted with two fuel tank's, one each side of the truck.
Third pic is the fuel tank's, next is the armour for the tank's & last as an
assembly as they will be when mounted on the truck.

    Good to see the progress.

Should be a good model when finished, or should I say it will be a great model when finished.

I must apologise for the lousy photo's.
Today we have the hood or bonnet with the radiator grill, & the two hood side
piece's as an assembly & an exploded view. Most major piece's are now cut out & it will
be soon time for assembly, hopefully.

First pic is hood & radiator assembly as it will be on the truck. 2nd & 3rd pic's the roof armour in

Not a lot was build today.
These two box's are the storage locker's for this vehicle.
They will be mounted on either side of the vehicle above the rear guard's.

G'day, I've been out of the shed for the past few week's & then our digital camera decided to turn up it's toe's. We have purchased another & now I have to learn how to drive it. Us old bloke's dont learn this new technology real quick. I have made some progress on the MRAP & will post it asap.
