    Default MRAP Cougar

    G'day Pete, aka Crowie,
It sort of, kinda, nearly rained here today. So I spent the day in the shed anyway.
I think I've got the clearance of the tyre's about right. Today I fitted the rest of the guard's,
the other fuel tank & the storage locker's & a couple of window frame's.
Still to come is the exhaust system, air cleaner assembly, roof armour & about ten grab handle's.
Also rear step, two towing hook's & engine air vent's & a set axle cover's.

    Cheer's Jim.

    Another quick update,
We fitted up the Engine breather vent's on the bonnet top & also the side of bonnet.
Spare wheel was mounted & also exhaust system was built & fitted to the cabin.
I have to say I am impressed with the way the exhaust system turned out.

This is the last update on the MRAP.
First couple of pics are two shot's of the roof armour
& the last pic is rear step, trailer hitch, rear grab handle's & towing hook's.
A few more small bit's & piece's & some poly clear & it wil be done.

Can't wait to see that clear poly finish on the camphor laurel.....
You've done a very fine job on the MRAP Jim; the shoulder is definitely well healed and the new camera is doing right by you.
    Cheers, crowie

Another Fantastic Model by you Jim. The wood grain looks amazing. And you tires look the real thing. My only wish is that your pictures were bigger so I could see the great detail on your model. Bret

If you click on the pic it will enlarge and you should be able to click on that again for a slightly larger image. The detail is awesome.

    Default MRAP Cougar

The MRAP Cougar is finally finished.
I have included a series of photo's of most angle's of the vehicle.
The build is mostly camphor laurel, which I personally think is to dark.
It is finished with two coat's of polyurethane satin & the tyre's are painted
with a craft acrylic black. It is about 18" long & took about 90 hour's to build.
