    Default Norman Ough Ship Models

I stumbled across this vid on YT.

Norman Ough ship models - YouTube

I'm sure that most ship modellers will be familiar with this craftsman but I was so impressed I thought it worthwhile to post a link for any newbie to see what they should aim for The painstaking detail is amazing. Apparently, this bloke was so immersed in his craft that on two occasions he was hospitalized as he wouldn't stop to eat!

Yep, brilliant model maker, he knows what he wants and just goes for it.

Only problem posting something like this on this forum, is that the bods who hang out here are way below this blokes standard and possibly will never be able to make his standard either.

Once again, brilliant modeler and his ability is surely lost, on those who frequent here.

I know what you mean. I look at the work of members on other areas of the forum and think "I'll never be that good." Still, it's good to have something to aim for.
However, you won't catch me missing my dinner (or a beer or two) for the sake of my hobby.

What is your knowledge of all other members of this forum, as you can write alle members out to be able to make a piece that can stand up to Norman Ought?
Do you know all members abilities?

This would seem to show a high standard of modelling from a member. Link from 'Similar Threads' from 2007.

mardrp, has for so long now criticized peoples work ,but has yet to show his own ability to make a good model of any thing , but perhaps criticizing is his forte?.
