Rob't E Lee Mississippi riverboat 1/160 scale
G'day,
These are some pics of my 'almost' completed riverboat. I am learning how to use this site so bear with me as I try to post. My next project is a 1/16 scale Wells Fargo Stagecoach by Victory Models/Amati...
Cheers,
Jim

Nice work Jim, I'll look forward to seeing more, particularly your next project. Not my area but love to see what others are doing in this area.
Welcome to the forum, hope you enjoy your stay.

Wow. Nice!
How long did that take you to build? The level of detail is stunning!
Will look forward to watching the next build.

I'd liked to thank all of you for your gracious comments even though I don't think I deserve them. I'm going to add some of the earlier build pictures that may give you a better view of my real skill, or lack thereof. This has been a fun build and I am hoping to get to finish it by the end of May so I can start on the stagecoach.
The pics attached to this post are the earliest ones remaining on my laptop. I cleaned up my dirve assuming the pics would be available on the build log on MSW, which were lost in a system crash while MSW was transitioning to a new provider. Oh, well....
These are unedited pics of the planking of decks, installation of windows and door and dry fitting of most of what you see. I'll gradually add the other pics.....and comments or questions are welcome. Remember, this is 1/160 scale.....it is amazing what can be seen under a magnifier and how much better things look from a distance.....
Cheers,
Jim

Thanks again to all! I just completed the build and so will post the finish pics. I'm looking forward to getting started on the stagecoach....
Special thanks to Adrieke for pointing me to this fine website!
FYI, I believe I started the build in about March of 2012 so it took a bit over a year including some down time when we sold our home.
Cheers,
Jim

The water background makes it look even better, Jim.
Nice pool, by the way. Mine's a little smaller - also known as a bathtub.... Steve
