Hi Grant sorry I seemed to have forgotten to look in the scale section and missed the building of the tender but now have caught up. You have done a fantastic job of the rocket, not only in the build but the finishing touches like the paint work. Have you got an idea of what is next.

Thanks for all the nice comments.
Dalboy - I'm currently doing a scratch build cross-section of the Bomb Vessel Granado of 1742. Concurrently, I'm doing a Dumas kit model of a 1949 Chris Craft 19ft Racing Runabout, which will also be radio controlled.
Build logs for both of these are over on the Model Ship World forum, although I guess I could replicate them here if there was interest.
Cheers,
Grant

The cross section is looking good it would be nice if you could replicate it here. I also have built model boats including a 5' 6" submarine which is a T class HMS Tabard.

Satin cote
Hi, can I ask did you use satin cote on all the painted parts when you did Stephensons Rocket.
thanks Bortig

Hi Bortig,
I am building a 4-6-2 locomotive and I give a spray clear satin coat over all my finished painting. It seems to give a much more durable finish and less prone to marking. It is also much easier to clean off any dust.
