Default Toys and joys crane with enhancements

Thought I would post a couple of pictures of a Toys and Joys crawler crane I have just finished, I have made some changes to the original plan.
The biggest headaches were the boom and the tracks. I hate tracks.

    Nice, you must have patience...
Glue and wait, then glue and wait.

There are 4 boom sections, with a jig I made I was able to make the boom sections 1 side at a time. 5 minute epoxy and super glue helped speed up the process.

G'Day & welcome "ginn" to the wonderful world of toymaking & modelling.
You may have had a few problems making the crane, BUT WOW, it's come up a treat.
    Well done.
    Thanks for the photos.
If I may be so bold; what other projects have you made and what else is in the pipeline.
    Keep up the great work.
    Cheers, crowie

A couple of weeks ago, I was able to work on assembling a real 80 ton track crane with 3 boom sections, and I have to say that it looks just the same as the real one.

    Nicely Done!

That's quite a lot of effort. Very nicely done.

    Thanks for your comments
It took approx 4 months of spare time work, with a break when I managed to stick my finger in my jointer machining up the timber.
My son is a fitter who assembles and repairs cranes so some of the ideas come from him.
He has given me some info on a Tadano 220 ton truck mount I am planning on having a go at.
The company he works at are the distributors so I can get access to the real thing for detail.
    And no tracks!!!
