Mel, I knew you were about to start the sloper , it dosen't take you long to get going. The wheels are great, some extra detail on how they were made and what scale you are working too.
The cat is progressing slowly, maybe another a week or so. regards John.

Another Masterclass to sit in on & enjoy.....
G'Day Mel,
Another Masterclass to sit in & enjoy while learning from a master craftsman.....
The level of detail is already evident, thanks for all the extra photos.
Are plans you are working off "original manufactures drawings" and then you are carefully scaling the parts??
Keep it coming, thank you.
Cheers, crowie

Love it! I've got a soft spot for old BSAs.
Obviously another man who likes working under a microscope. The level of detail is unreal, right down to the barrel studs and nuts. Great work.... Steve

I'm in contact with Mel fairly often, he dosen't give much info on the forum on how bits are made but he's like me , prefers to spend the time making his models.
I cannot get the fine detail that Mel does , he is truly a fine model maker. John.

This Sloper has me travelling back in time again. I was just checking out a couple of photos when I came across this. It's a '28, not a '30, but close:

Incredibly fine work .... but not only that .. the photographing with the neutral background is really impressive as well. It shows up the detail so well.
Can anyone help here .... at this point do you do all the polishing of the timber, the sanding and waxing ? ... or do you wait until its finished, which probably makes it harder. .. ?
