    Default First attempts at Casting !

    G'Day Folks,

    I have been drawn to the darkside !!!

    Heres a few casts I have made using a Sierra Resin-saver mould from Timberbits (very pleased with the mould).

    The blue sierra is a favourite, I love the quite subtle swirl of the Mica powder through it, understated would be a good description. The tubes where made using smashed up off cuts of coloured resin left overs, need to keep the size of the pieces down though.

    This is a mould I made myself with the wooden plug and acetic cure silicone from Bunning, havent used it yet but intend to try casting stamps on a Sedona pen with it. Big Thank You to Ian for his guidance over issues with stamp casting,I'll post the piccies when done !!

    Looks like you have them coming out pretty good straight away. Costs a little bit to get started, but once you have the basics, the sky's the limit.

    And so it begins, I just hope you know what you're getting yourself into, worthless wood, seed pods, pine cones, the list goes on. Well done on your first casts btw.
