Where to buy a pressure pot?
Hi everyone
I will be making my own label cast resin pen blanks, two at a time to start with... just wondering where I can find an affordable quality pressure pot?
Is something like this a safe choice?
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/10-Lt-Pr...k/273656054998
My google skills are either lacking or there isn't much out there... I can't find much aside from sketchy (?) ebay stuff like that.
Would really appreciate any advice.
oh edit: I have this casting mold already that I will be using: https://ptownsubbie.com/products/2-b...ts-of-stoppers

The one you found on Ebay is a pretty good price . I think I paid about $120 several years ago .Don't forget you will have to buy a few fittings to adapt it for casting .

cheers for that. is there a guide around telling how to do that? Pressure pot is this what you mean?
I would prefer one 'ready to go' but if this is my only option in Australia I'll go for it

You can get them but they cost a touch more. I believe seller also makes a 2 1/2 gallon pot too so ask about it first.

That thread you found prettywell covers everything you need to know .There are also several videos on line that show how to do it .
If you say where you live , someone near you may be able to show you a conversion .

Oh nice, appreciate the tip. That one is definitely a bit out of reach, I will ask about the 2.5 gallon pot and see what the price is... if that fails I'll definitely just mod my own I guess. thanks again!
edit: and thank you ted, I'll go ahead and read that thread then and see what I can learn, just in case. I'll see what happens with this ebay 2.5 pot and go from there!

Your other option is to poke around garage sales, swap meets and Gumtree type sites. You never know what you'll find and it doesn't take much to clean one up when the price is right.

If we knew where in Australia you live it would be a lot easier to help you??
For example, I have an Arnold DeVibliss alloy cast pressure pot that I want to get rid of for $40.00, trouble is the cost of postage would probably be around $80,00. From memory its about a 5 litre pot. Would be the weekend before I can get to photograph it.
