Cactus Casting
I few of you would remember the craze of casting cactus blanks a while back in the USA. I tried getting some cactus and letting it dry out, only to find after 6 months the dam thing had started to grow . I later then went to casting luffa instead.
Anyway, on my travels (see https://www.woodworkforums.com/showth...30#post1803930) I have found some huge cactus (some over 20' tall ), under which were some old leaves in their skeletal form

Whilst at Gawdelpus's (John) place yesterday I wrapped some of the outer skeleton around a white tube and then cast in some green translucent dyed resin. Today he apparently took it out of the pot and turned it so we shall hopefully soon see what it looks like

Looks good Guys.
Is the dried cactus flexible enough to wrap around the tube ?
I imagined it would be too brittle, but I have never handled any, so what would I know.Brad.
