Thanks all. I will persist with the plumbers tape a bit longer and if I can't get it upright then I will glue it in. Its just annoying but I suppose there is a solution to every problem. I wanted to test it out this weekend but I have to get a room ready for plasterers and the electrician so that will be my weekend taken up - unless I can get one pen on order finished.
