So many questions for assistance. But as Hitchcock said, "All will be revealed" A comprehensive DVD will be made for anyone interested in viewing it. Mind you if it doesn't turn out I will disappear from the WW Forum If it does turn out, just PM me for a copy and I will happily post you one.
Now to important things - I have been busy baking so there will be a choice of Butter Sultana cake with a glazed almond icing; Triple chocolate muffins; or Blueberry muffins. But is the coffee Moccona?
John - As Neil's agent for this event, do you think he will need television makeup for the video or will the dusty wood turner effect be better? (Reply not required)
I am bringing my pressure pot down to get some assistance setting up the bloody water trap. I am also bring a couple of prepared blanks with a Gents and a Sedona kit in case Neil has time to do a timber turning with CA application for a separate video. Maybe he can do it while we have afternoon tea
Looking forward to meeting all of you tomorrow.
Greg

I have Macoona, but also have espresso machine for a decent cup.
Unlikely to have time to do CA before 5pm, but perhaps before we go out for dinner.Neil____________________________________________Every day presents an opportunity to learn something new

Fly. If there is a piece of cake left, maybe we can get Neil to cast it in resin and send it to you as a blank

or just cast it as a paperweight.

Needs to be a pen. You don't put a paper weight in your mouth and suck on the end

To add to John's directions.
Take exit 69.
Hwy drops to 3 lanes after Smith st exit 66 (?)
Top of hill speed drops to 100.
Don't get caught in the right two lanes. Exit 69 on down hill run.
Once on the off-ramp stick to rhs (to pass under hwy) then onto Nerang.
(Cold supplies can be purchased on the left in Nerang.)
See you all there.

Thankyou for Demo
I just want to say thanks for neil (dai Sensei) for putting on his demo today for all of those who were lucky enough to have gone I obviously couldn't go from here but because of those who did go agreeing to video (Thanks Greg) and those who took photo's and suff.
Greg (plantagenon) has already said anyone who wanted a copy only has to send him our address and we will get a copy of what was done a very kind gesture indeed It is for reasons like this that makesour forum one of the best if not best going around with members always willing to help others wherever they can.
A big congratulations to all those who contributed to making what I am sure was a success possible
Well done everyone
Cheers Ian

Well it was a great day indeed . No photos yet, but I am sure they will come, with the videos.
Plantegenon (Greg) did a great job and the camera, plus Dabbla tooks stills and another video when we were doing 2 things at once (we were running out of daylight).
What we did:
- Explained everything as best we could
- Stabilised 3 bark and 3 cedar seed pod pen blanks (I cast them yesterday) under vacuum with Cactus Juice
- I cast 4 banksia, 1 pinecone, 2 cholla cactus, large pepper grinder blank, slab of sheoak seed pods, small slab of cedar seed pods, copper long tube blank, watch parts blank
- Aus MadDiog (Tony) cast 6 mixed resin tube blanks
- Gawdelpus (John) cast with silicon a large slab pen blank mold and 1 Majestic tube-in mold
- Pigged out on Greg's beautiful muffins, chocolate and blueberry, and cake with coffee
- After dinner I topped up the pepper grinder blank with second cast, plust cast left-over resin into 6 cholla cactus
We actually overall stuck to time finishing at 5pm, but as expected, yakked on to 6:30pm
Five of us went out for chinese dinner afterwards. Now I'm lounging back in the armchair stuffed .
Tomorrow I'll pull all the casts from the pots and take some more photos of the products.Neil____________________________________________Every day presents an opportunity to learn something new
