Super cheap Autos had them on special this week for 99 dollars comes with spray gun and hoses ,I think I would be a little wary of second hand ones unless it was someone you knew. Cheers ~ John (in Queensland stores)

OK, Got my pressure pot this morning. So I'm well on the way. Now I just need to wait until tuesday to buy some resin.

No need to stand on one foot, but lots of plumbing required. Old threads detail what's needed, and a lot suggest cutting off bits & sealing up. I got away with buying stop valves etc and lots & lots of plumbing tape.

I also think I'll go for the stop valve method. Just been reading the paint pot instructions. And It may come in useful for painting at some point of time. I like to make things that can be reverted back to orig if possible. I did see a youtube thing where the woman had the pot on its side and masonite shelves of different widths just slid in onto wooden rails. It gives her a full depth full width shelf at the centre and 2 smaller ones above and below. instead of the round footprint only. Means I could leave that internal pipe in place if it fits between the shelves (get 3 in there).

I had teh same thought about reverting it, but after the work to get it setup, I don't think I'd ever bother. I left the pipe in for that reason, and also because I didnt want to bother cutting it out. I cut a wooden base to fit the inner pot to remove the rounded base, and cut a hole for the pipe to fit through. I could mount extra shelves if I wanted, but never got around to it, and to date don't use my pressure pot much anyway.

If you do this make sure you have a secure method of holding the pot in place and, most important, so that the moulds will be horizontal. You don't want your resin running out!

I didn't cut the pipe, but unscrewed it, took a bit of effort but it eventually moved, so it could be put back in, although I doubt I ever would.

Oh also, be aware that it takes a bit of force to close the lid properly with the wing nuts, especially over time, to ensure the air doesn't leak out.
This would be harder, but not impossible, to do with the pot on its' side.
