I tell you what I can vouch for as pretty good stuff and that is the Liquid Diamonds it really is clear and so close to being like water that it's not funny. But takes a while to go off properly.

    Gab,

    Nice castings.

Let me know how the pencil cast works as I made a small box with casted pencils and I had some trouble with the exposed coloured lead in the pencils when they were exposed.

Will do, but I'm very time poor so could be a while....
I've heard (maybe from you? Maybe from multiple sources) not to sand the pencil blanks as the lead will colour everything....guess I better get better with the skew!

I was told by someone who has done a few of the pencil pens that it is wise to use plenty of CA as you are turning them, otherwise bits will fling out.

Sorry about the photography but (as always) I'm in a mad rush with life so couldn't do the whole setup

    C& C welcome

I love the way the black highlights the wood.

That's come up really nicely and the contrast between the blue and the other colours just sets it off.
    Is that a CA finish?

Yep, finished with marcury flex CA - decided to see what all the fuss was about with this product. Had to modify my technique a little but so far it's a damn good finish
