    Default My latest castings

Here are my latest castings hopefully all will be pens within the next couple of days.
    20140402_135008.jpg

On the top is a purple storm/pinecone then a Black Ash Burl - purple/blue acrylic.
On the bottom from left to right are
Red acrylic & she oak seeds
Blue swirl acrylic & she oak seeds
Purple swirl acrylic & she oak seeds
Lime green acrylic/Termite assisted Red River Gum w/w
And last but not least an Orange acrylic/Termite assisted Red River Gum w/w
These will be the last casts that I do for a while (and so will be the pens that they will soon become) as we have sold our house and until we find a new home and I set up a new workshop things will be on hold for a bit.
    Regards Rumnut.

    Certainly looks promising

Were they cast under pressure? Just the edges on the WW look a bit separated, but could be just photo, although nothing a bit of CA can't fix anyway

Looking forward to seeing the end result.
    Like the terminology "Termite assisted"
Hope the withdrawal symptoms don't get the better of you before the new workshop is set up.

Thanks Dallas, its my new go to description of a good supply of red river gum given to me that the little buggers took a liking to and that I could see some re-purposing in. Waste not want not I say.
