    Default Dehydrator

    HEADS UP TO CASTERS

Aldi currently has food dehydrators on sale for $39-99. I just went up and got one. Great for drying out wet timber blanks - once I workout how to use it If you are in Brisbane, the Aldi store at Sunnybank (Sunnypark shopping centre on the corner of Mains Road and McCullough Streets) has a heap of them left.

    Hi Greg,

I asked Neil the same question in my casting thread sometime ago. Here is the info I have.

For seed pods that have fallen, 24hrs at 135F, or green 40hrs at 145F
Stable woods and softwoods (small slabs 25mm thick), 40-60hrs at 145F
Hardwoods and risky stuff, use small 25mm slabs 40hrs at 135F, trim to pen blanks & 1 week stand, then 20-40hrs at 135F

    Cheers
    Tony

    Thanks Tony.

    Ian

I can get one for you if you like and either post it to you or keep it here until you come up again (postage might outweigh the gain). I don't mind keeping it here until you come up again. Let me know and I will pick it up tomorrow.
