Difference between suction and vacuum Pump
A while ago I acquired two vacuum Pumps and one suction pump, I unearth them the other day when I finally got my pressure pot finished.
What is the Difference between suction and vacuum Pump?
What can a suction pump be used for?
How many vacuum pumps does a caster need?
The suction pump.

I suspect Google is your friend on this one but a vacuum cleaner is a suction pump ,albeit low pressure and continuous , a vacuum pump will create a high quality Vacuum for specific purposes ,such as fridges and vacuum plating , and their is the sum total of my knowledge on this subject cheers ~ John
G'day all !Enjoy your stay !!!

I cant tell u the difference either, perhaps the manufacturer may be able to help.

They define suction as the movement of a fluid into a partial vacuum.
They define vacuum as space that is empty of matter.

Isn't suction the process that gives you a vacuum, assuming an airtight vessel

I've always though of a suction pump as just another name for a regular pump used to move fluids from one reservoir to another at the same pressure. This covers things dust extractor, vacuum cleaners, water feature pumps, and pool pumps.
Vacuum pumps and compressors move fluids between reservoirs at different pressures.

The two terms go hand in hand. Vacuum is the process that creates the negative space and suction is the movement of a substance within that negative space. The key thing to understand is that it is occuring on the negative pressure side of any system.
A pump has negative pressure on the inlet side and postive pressure on the outlet side. The best example of this would be an air conditioner pump.
