First effort at casting.
A while ago I was impressed by a posting of a couple of Sierra pens that had the RAN logo cast on to the brass tubes and cast with clear acrylic.
This process is really is limited only by ones imagination. Here are a couple of creations. The one with the anchor is the logo of the TS Arethusa,
There could be a couple of ex Arethusa boys out there?
the other cast with stamps. I think it was Dorno who was the inspiration.
The third pen is a "Collingwood" pen creation where I joined black and white black blanks to form the stripes

Collingwood
Carlton man myself, it was a case of black and white blanks being the easiest to experiment with. Half the family are mad Pies supporters and are miffed I won't part with it.

Great going. They turned out well and for a first attempt are excellent.
Not sure the Collinwood pen would have much of a market in Queensland

Hi Greg Nice work there on the pens they all look great here is one I done ages ago and it is a Royal Australian Navy logo but if you look hard you will see that it has a lyre on it ? this is because it is actually a Royal Australian Navy Band logo of which I was a member of for 10 years I hope you like it?

I have done a lot of clear casting using military badges and logos. My latest RAN Sierra was of the HMAS ANZAC for a friend who served on her in the 50/60. I am in the process of casting 2 jr gents with the RAR badge and VII (7RAR) beneath. For a mate who's son is serving in Afghanistan. I will post them here when finished. I find vinyl paper excellent for printing on rather that decals or anything else.
Pen turning is addictive but casting is worse.
