Sorry, not enough information for an informative answer.

One way of calculating it is to fill whatever mould you're going to cast it in with water, then gently lower the piece in, allowing excess water to overflow. Make sure the piece is fully submerged; if needed, use a screwdriver or similar to hold it under for a second or two until the water stops overflowing.

I recommend being quick here... soaking the timber would be counterproductive.

Carefully remove the wood (wiping off excess water!) then pour the remaining water from the mould into a jar and measure the volume. That should give you as good a ball-park figure for the epoxy required as you'll likely get. Personally, I'd add 10% to give me 'wiggle room.'

Two more things: You'll need to ensure the wood is thoroughly dried again before casting it. If you're in a rush, a hair-dryer is handy. But it's better to leave it to sit and dry in the sun for a day or three.

Also, some timbers cut faces will become 'furry' when wetted and will need light sanding to clean up again. It's been a while since I've worked Maple (it's generally an 'import' here) but I think it's prone to this.
I may be weird, but I'm saving up to become eccentric.

A similar method to Skew ChiDAMN!!'s is to use something like rice to fill the mould or cavity with and measure the volume of it. Rinse the rice before cooking. Costs more than the water but you don't affect the moisture content of the wood. Otherwise you are down to calculating the volume of the wood (measure small sections and add them together) and subtracting it from the mould volume. Also recommend you mix more than you need but have a bunch of small moulds set up to take the excess for other projects like coasters etc.

Its just a simple volume/cubic measurement. Convert your measurements to metric and it will give you your answer in litres.
