Default Gluing glitter on tubes for casting

After roughing tube with an hack saw blade I run a bead of thin C A
on tubes and sprinkle coloured glitter ,repeating this until the tube
is mostly covered. Then I propose to apply a coat of Mod Podge
craft glue and again sprinkle on the glitter to cover the gaps.
when that dries ,another coat of Mod Podge to seal the glitter and
hopefully less bubbles.(I've used Mod Podge over stamps and it
    works O K)
Has any experienced members used glitter ,perhaps they might
advise if I'm on the right track or suggest a better way.
    Thanks Merv

I use tubes coloured similar to the glitter, paint or nail polish, then roll the tube in thick CA on baking paper, followed by rolling tube in glitter on baking paper. Once dried completely, at least 24 hours, cast in resin saver molds. I do paint the resin on the blank before putting them in the mold to minimise bubbles. I use ploy resin and never had a problem. See here for some https://www.woodworkforums.com/showth...hlight=glitter

You can use the two part nail polish which is a base colour over painted with the glitter part when dry then set in resin

Be careful with nail polish, I did quite a few once using thick layers, but in a hot car I found its moves big time . Ended up with drooping resin and throwing out many blanks . Thin layers for painting tubes are fine but thick layers extremely risky.

Thanks to you for the prompt answers ,I'll try your way with thin coats
of nail polish, with its good range of colours .I attended a Woodturning
Symposium in Auckland N Z last October where I saw a pen casting
demo and he painted a tube black ,don't think he used nail polish.
I've been using epoxy resin for about 6 months so I'll stay with this at
least until it all used . Haven't been able to try pressure or vacuum yet.
Symposiums - I'm going to Turnfest this March, are you going ,
or perhaps other members .does Woodwork Forums meet similar to
    Working with Wood Shows .
    Cheers Merv
