Elagant is the word, possibly a little too dark a blue ,but that may be the photo as well with some of these things, your attention to detail and finishing is immaculate as usual .One question , the "gold" in these things like you have done and the truestone with gold lacy work, is that real gold or some composite , just curious, I have done a couple of these in truestone and am not sure how its constituted . Cheers JD
G'day all !Enjoy your stay !!!

Sam nice work as I always expect, the Copper Elegant Beauty is very nice. Who is supplying them. Brett, GPW or Carrolls? Love the colours in the blank may have to see you about some casts if you are willing to do some for me.
Cheers

Looking very good Sam, love the variation between the 2 even though they came from the same stick.
Those EB's are a good loking pen, very well executed fit and finish
PS In the side by side shot there appears to be quite a difference in size, is that an optical illusion?

Hi Sam
They are great looking pens.
How did you find the corn flower paste?

If it's same as I have, it's a gold metallic type powder/pigment. Certainly not true gold, and not glitter either. When I mix mine is resin on it's own, it ends up looking almost like liquid metal, or gold paint. When set in the resin, it can have a two-tone effect as the light hits it differently.
I too am interested how the cornflour went, and whether you made gravy with the leftovers?

I love that kit more and more and the blue is perfect. That deep blue you sometimes get on a really clear summer day. Nice pens!
When all is said and done, there is usually a whole lot more said than done.

Thank you everyone I will try and answer the questions
John
The gold I used in this in this is gold pearlex I also used two other colours. The pen is much better in the hand hard to capture the colour. My wife called it electric blue
Darren
The pens cane from GPW and they carry the copper and rose gold. My personal belief is the Dayacom EB's are better than the Berea especially with castings as the amount of material remaining on the tube is greater. I am stilllearing with this casting but willing to give it a go if you wnat tis a lots of experiment and I need to document the casting ingrdience as Fred said
Fred
It is an optical illusion ans bothe pens are identicak in length i obviously did not get the gold mixed properly in the lower part of the cast, They were cast in 25mm electrical conduit
David and Russell
The cornflower worked a treat once I got the slurry mix right part of my finish now. Russell you have the hang of what is going on in the mix
Al thats the colour mate
Once again thanks for all the kind words more experimenting next week.

Great looking pens Sam. Perhaps a shade darker than Royal Blue. Great match of blank and kit.
