pressure pot
I need to replace the regulator on my pressure.( My regulator died when a friend said he was a expert. Don't ask.)
I do not need the regulator, so can I unscrew it and replace it with a closed bung. If so, what type of shop do I go to. Maybe a plumbers supplies?.
Thanks
Terry

Terry, as you say the regulator is not needed. When I set up my pressure pot I couldn't find any 1/4" bungs, so I set it up with 2 1/4" stop cocks.
Have a look at my thread here.

Although you may get a 1/4 " bung from a gas fitting place, bear in mind that gas fittings are not the same as air hose fittings. the thread is totally different. You should get what you want from an air hose and paint compressor fittings supplier.

It's probably a 1/8 or 1/4 british standard pipe thread. the best thing to use would be a brass bung. these can be found at most car parts stores and engineering places. Anyone that sells automotive air fittings would have them as well.

Yes John, thanks for confirming that point. Went to Bunnings today to check out the fittings and came to the conclusion that maybe I should be looking at air fittings not gas fittings.
Thanks

Bunnings and the kind are only good for general items. We need a lot of specialty air, gas and water fittings for work and use Tony Powell to get them. They should have what you need.
