Can you explain how these work when casting, I'm very new at this so quite ignorant of the process.

there are many posts in here already.
What it does is pressurize to make any bubbles smaller.
If you cast nuts and beans or cones then it helps push the resin into the spaces.
Look thru the Dai sensai posts as he's the sensai......
They also show you how to modify the pot from a paint sprayer to a pressure pot.
(I did not cut off the internal pipe so I could swap back to a sprayer, I just use it all on its side).
