1 millimeter = 0.0393700787 inches
x 9 = .354330702
3/8 = .375 ins.
so quite a difference between 9 mm and 3/8 ins.
Coser to 3/8 would be 9.5 mm = .374 ins.
My instructions sheet calls for a 3/8 drill ,9.5 mm is fine as well .
Have fun with it ,easier than slims hehe, cheers ~ JohnG'day all !Enjoy your stay !!!

3/8" is a standard size bit and should be available at bunnies or elsewhere reasonably cheaplyregards

By the time you pay for the 3/8 bit (around $10), you may as well buy a whole set of drills at Bunnies. They have both Imperial and Metric sets for around the $29 dollar mark. They are TiN coated and go from 1/16-1/2" in the Imperial size.
I have both sets and find they do a good job and between the metric and the imperial cover nearly all the common sizes for pen kits.
