I have a pretty busy Jan/Feb/Mar so have started on my pen already... If I can pull off my intended pen it will be pretty cool
It's only a mistake if you don't learn from it.

60 signed up!
We now have 60 people signed up that's 30 Aussie members and 30 members from other nations (5 nations represented to be precise) and one of those is touring Aust during 2011!
A number of members have indicated that they would be happy to have more then 1 swap partner
Another 40 signatories would be good so hassle your mates
I'll shortly be PM'ing those whom took part last year whom haven't as yet joined in (except "the chook" whom has given up woodworking)regards

I'd like to participate!
But there's a slight issue, being minus a lathe and any skill i can't actually turn the pen.
If someone would be willing to swap with me I can offer a couple pen blanks and pen kits in return. On the bright side it means you get a nice pen and get to feel what it's like turning Maple. I'd try to make it Birds eye or stabilized burl but it depends on what's in store.
Any takers?
