My pens and blanks finally made it to the post office today for posting - good plans last week were shattered when someone decided that lighting a fire to watch the action was a good idea! I don't get it ... so instead of getting to a post office I was getting home just in case the wind changed! Monday was granted to all us hard working West Aussies as a holiday .. but now they are heading off to Tennesse .. both swapees in Tennesse - who would believe!

Hope they make good time MSGMP and Bitshird

My first swap arrived today from ssajn. Thanks Dave. The pen is a modified cigar, the centre band has been reduced, dressed in Yellow Pine from Dave's friends property in northern Wisconsin. CA finish and it is a superb writing instrument.
There was also a fine selection of, to an Australian, exotic blanks, Black Walnut, Claro Walnut and a Bethlem Olive Wood.
Again, thanks so much, it's been great swapping with you.

    Default Swap package arrived

The postman arrived, a little old driver so lively and quick, with a package from Dorno (Ian).
Ian and I opened our packages while on Skype, we had some sound problems but video was fine.
The photos are of what I sent to Ian. Box is Walnut with Cherry slip feathers, Lid insert is Spalted Birch. Pen is a Gold T/N and Chrome Art Deco with a Desert Ironwood Burl.

Thank you Ian for your beautiful pen, the fit and finish were fantistic. It will go in my collection.

Thank you Nick for putting together this swap.
    Cheers
    Don

    Magnificent job
Well my goodies arrived yesterday and as Don and I had agreed to open them up on skype together and today we did just that but we had a few technical difficulties from my end. The pen I recieved from Don was a beauty and as you can see by the photos he posted he made a box for it which came up a real treat I also recieved some pen blanks and to top it right of I recieved a timber pendant sorry cant tell you much about it as my wife stole it and has been wearing it since she loves it

The pen I made for Don is a Jr Majestic from Red Mallee Burl finished in heaps of coats of CA and about half a dozen blanks (I am not clever enough for boxes )

    Cheers Ian

Ps the background is a brown mallee burl cap that just seemed to fit the photo and the international theme

My photos stink but what I received from Des(seriola) is PERFECT. Thanks for a great swap. I think my wife confiscated one of them, it seems to have vanished shortly after the photo.
